It's an early Tuesday morning and Lovisa, founder of Pialin, and Sara, friend & model are thinking about how to succeed with their - out of the ordinary - campaign shoot. Not being an ordinary shoot, but a shoot of Sara surfing, with an actual handbag strapped onto her, in between dramatic Atlantic waves.
Planning this kind of photoshoot brings a few hurdles, not only having had a few drinks the evening before but still feeling dedicated to the idea, but also the need to follow the tides to even able to capture the shoot at a specific wave, as Lovisa's camera doesn't currently have a functioning water housing and therefore needs to be in the right proximity to get the shot.
Despite these hurdles, both Sara & Lovisa were ever so enthusiastic to let the creativity flow and the vision come alive.
Why all this effort?
"It was a vision that had to come alive, it's just how it is to be a creative. Once an idea strong enough pops up, it just needs to be born, to come alive. Then the hurdles are not so much hurdles, but actually quite fun to get through," Lovisa & Sara states
And where did this idea come from, being so strong that it needed to come alive?
"The idea of this campaign came as a natural result of the two previous campaigns of the series. The first one, also featuring Sara climbing cliffs in a gala dress with the bag, and the second one with Seth jumping in ski slopes with the bag and a suiting glass of sparkling wine. The idea of this campaign series was to showcase "the bag for any occasion" - even if that occasion means climbing in a gala dress, being fashionable late to après-ski, or going straight from surfing ot the beach club.
Each campaign celebrating the heritage of our brand, with the first campaign being shot only minutes from our family home, the second in the Swedish mountains showing the beautiful landscape of the brands origin country, and this final campaign celebrating the beauty of Portugal, which is where we work with a small family atelier to produce our bags. And this was the finale of the three-step vision, so it simply had to come alive."
The essence of the final campaign is: The bag for any occasion yes, even if you are going straight from the surf to the beach club.
Where you get to follow an image series of Sara surfing with the small bära bag, and model Lisa Nilsson enjoying moments in the sun at the beach club. Both models wearing white outfits with matching glasses, showing that even your outfit can transform elegantly between activities.
" Having done this shoot with Sara and Lisa is truly special. Both are two of my close friends from home, and having them represent the brand, and having made this shoot together did not only give great results, but memories for a lifetime.
Through every shoot we create, we aim to truly live our values - authenticity, transparency, and community. Seeing our community this engaged, excited, and eager to build alongside us is the clearest reflection of what our brand stands for. " Lovisa says

The trilogy campaign is now completed with a clear statement: the Pialin brand defined not by limits, but by movement.
Across three very different worlds, the brand has explored what it means to design for a life in motion, unrestricted by setting, season, or expectation.
" With this final chapter, we aim to reinforce our position as a new voice in the space where function meets fashion, and where storytelling is as important as the product itself. Lovisa says"
PS: Please don't surf with the bag as its not fully waterproof and made by leather. :)
